This project is being led by LSU’s Construction Industry Advisory Council (CIAC) and the Construction Student Association (CSA) on behalf of Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana. Through this partnership, we’re giving back to our local community while creating a space that will bring Brant joy for years to come!
On October 10th, CIAC and CSA volunteers will come together to prepare Brant’s backyard for his new adaptive play space. The workday will include:
Setting posts for the swingset and outdoor musical instruments
Prepping/Digging an earth-formed sidewalk
Please bring any of the following if you can:
Shovels (flathead and spade)
Gloves
Wheelbarrows
Sunscreen
We’ll break the day into two sessions so folks can choose a time that works best for them (or stay with us for the full day!):
Morning Session: 7:00 – 11:00 AM
Afternoon Session: 11:30 – 3:30 PM
Lunch Provided Between Sessions
Gloves Wheelbarrows Shovels (flathead and spade) Sunscreen Any other items that could come in handy!

Join us for a members-only recruitment event! The CIAC Career Fair will give recruiters a chance to interact with LSU CM and Engineering students the day before Construction Interview Day (CID). This is a fantastic opportunity to fill remaining CID interview slots or meet with students that you were unable to schedule.
Participants will be able to set up a table and have visibility to 200+ students over the course of the event. This is an opportunity you will not want to miss!
Recruiters may set up from 12 - 1 pm, with 1 table & 2 chairs provided per company. Lunch provided for recruiters.
This is a first-come-first-served, MEMBERS-ONLY event.
